What can be done for the January 6th Political Prisoners?

captaindeplorable4

Many Americans traveled to Washington DC on January 6th, 2021 and have since been held as Political Prisoners without a set hearing and/or without any charges or due process.

Here is a letter from a January 6 Political Prisoner, Nate DeGrave. I strongly recommend reading his letter in full.

Giving credit where credit is due, we acknowledge that Marjorie Taylor Greene, Matt Gaetz, and Louis Gohmert have been very vocal about the January 6th Prisoners. You can see MTG's efforts referenced in this article from Newsmax and this article highlights all three of their efforts. As an American Citizen, I have read the letter from Mr. DeGrave and have watched the speeches from MTG and Matt Gaetz and can't help but notice their efforts, while they have the best intentions, are not seeing real effective positive results for these American Citizens. Are these the best course of action for real results?

We saw during the BLM "peaceful protests", many BLM members and Antifa were arrested and released shortly after their arrests. Many never faced charges from their actions during this time.

Remember President Trump's Trade Deals? He would often say that our Trade Deals have always been one sided and he wanted them to be reciprocal. He was the first President to leverage our Foreign Aid in such a way that would lead to a benefit for the American People.

Florida Governor, Ron DeSantis has watched President Trump use these tactics effectively and is putting them in to action through his policies. Just this month, the Special Olympics was planning to require the vaccine, which is unconstitutional. Last year, DeSantis banned vaccine passports and ordered the state to issue $5,000 fines to businesses, schools and government agencies that require people to show proof of a COVID-19 vaccination. After this policy was brought to the organizers' attention, they dropped the requirement.

So what can we do to help the January 6th Political Prisoners? We have seen from our Congressional Representatives that bringing attention to their treatment leads to lockdowns for these American Citizens. Why doesn't someone take a new perspective? We know that it is our Constitutional Right to a Speedy Trial, as outlined in the Sixth Amendment, which these people have absolutely been denied. Even though it is a violation of the Constitution, I don't see any lawyers fighting and winning this battle so far.

So let's look at this from another angle. Why not try placing a financial burden on these jails/prisons for their clear violation of the January 6th Political Prisoners' Constitutional Right to a Speedy Trial? I would not be surprised that if Congress imposed a hefty fine for the institutions who are violating the Constitutional Rights of the Prisoners, that it wouldn't take long at all for a change to take place.

What do you think? Do you think it is time to do things a different way and give it a try? After all, what do we have to lose?

Do you have a different idea? What do you think would be effective to help these people?
